Adam McKay has been revealed to be in "advanced talks" to replace Edgar Wright as the director for Marvel's Ant Man, which is set to release July 17, 2015.

Adam McKay, the well-known director of such films as Anchorman, The Other Guys, and Step Brothers, looks to be the new director for Marvel’s Ant Man, which would be McKay’s first foray into directing for the superhero genre.  Adam McKay would be replacing Edgar Wright, who left the film over “creative differences.”

UPDATE:

Adam McKay has pulled himself out of the director’s chair.  He stated that he is no longer interested in replacing Edgar Wright, so Marvel is back to the drawing board in finding a director for this project.
