Kick-Ass star Chloë Grace Moretz has been cast to star in Universal's The Little Mermaid.
Richard Curtis will be writing the script based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, which is super dark and not all like the bright and bubbly Disney movie we all remember.
Given that I’ll be very interested in the story Curtis will tell. Add onto that the original director Sofia Coppola has exited the film over creative differences and a new director has not been found. Maybe we’ll have a better idea for the tone and feel for the movie when the new director joins.
