2018’s Crazy Rich Asians was a massive success with critics, audiences, and at the box office. With Kevin Kwan’s books to draw material and inspiration from it’s no surprise that there are more movies being announced for this budding movie franchise.

Emmy nominated Barry producer and scribe Jason Kim is set to pen a spinoff of Crazy Rich Asians which will center around the Gemma Chan character of Astrid Young Teo and her romance with Charlie Wu, played by Harry Shum Jr. in the original movie.
