Review: by Anthony and Lee

We have seen both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and loved both, so there was no way we were going to miss out on the next movie in the series dubbed the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy.

What We Liked:

If you liked the humor of the previous films, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, then You would love The World’s End.  It was full of witty comebacks, one liners, running jokes within the movie, and running gags from the previous movies.

The characters were very well developed.  The movie did a good job of highlighting all of the characters and showing how they had changed as they progressed into adulthood.  It provided room for the audience to make informed assessments of them.

The acting not only met but exceeded the standards set for comedy/action movies.  The friendship between the main characters was believable, which made the rest of the plot more likely.

What We Didn’t Like:

The plot of the movie sort of fell apart at the end.  It just ended.

Summary

The World’s End was exactly as funny as we thought it would be. Although it was lacking in plot, the characters and the action make it a must watch, especially if you’re a fan of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
