Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street” release date now uncertain
The highly anticipated film The Wolf of Wall Street from director Martin Scorsese is now in jeopardy of not achieving its release date of November 15, 2013.
After Scorsese’s first cuts, the film runs approximately three hours long .
Paramount Pictures and Scorsese hope to have the movie ready for release in time for the Oscars, to go up against other Best Picture contenders such as 12 Years A Slave, Gravity, Captain Phillips, and August: Osage County.
Paramount has already started looking at an adjusted release date of December 25, 2013 ,or possibly a later date in 2014 in order to give Scorsese the time needed to trim the runtime down further.
The film is based on former broker Jordan Belfort’s best-selling memoir and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, and Rob Reiner.
