Warner Bros adds more Harry Potter Trademarks
Following the news that Warner Bros. secured J.K. Rowling to write a screenplays for a new movie series, the first film of which is set to be Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Warner Bros. has trademarked Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for use encompassing television, movies, comic books, video games, and more. They did not stop there, however. Warner Bros. has also done the same for both Quidditch Through the Ages and the Tales of Beedle the Bard.
Considering that the earlier announcement stated that Rowling was to write screenplays for a series of movies, news that Warner Bros. has trademarked the use of Quidditch Through the Ages and the Tales of Beedle the Bard is not particularly surprising. They are the logical step after Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The exciting part of their trademarking is the possibility it provides for television shows and comic books, areas previously untouched by the Harry Potter world. Could this pave the way for a Marauders television series? I certainly hope so. In the meantime, I will stack up some Kenmare Kestrels merchandise, also trademarked by Warner Bros.
