Reportedly, Lucasfilm is making a deal with Rian Johnson, writer/director of Looper, to write and direct the next two Star Wars films.

Johnson will be taking the reigns from JJ Abrams to helm both Star Wars Episode VIII and IX.  It is a huge task about which Johnson has not yet commented.
