[Movie News] ‘Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist’ Sequel Announced
The live-action Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist movie is getting a sequel.
It was announced today at San Diego Comic-Con by the production team that Street Fighter: World Warrior, will introduce more characters from the Street Fighter world along with the main antagonist M. Bison.
Joey Ansah will return to direct and write along with cast members Mike Moh (Ryu) and Gaku Space (Goki).
While Assassin’s Fist focused mainly on Street Fighter mainstays Ken, Ryu and their master Gouken, World Warrior will introduce characters like Guile, Chun-li and Sagat. Director Joey Ansah and the rest of the series’ creators will return for the sequel series.
Street Fighter: World Warrior is scheduled to arrive in late 2015 or early 2016.
Ansah also announced that Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, which was originally broadcast online, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray later this year. The physical release will feature a range of behind the scenes featurettes, director’s commentary, four deleted scenes — one of which touches on the history of Dan Hibiki — and a blooper reel.
