Sony's has revealed the cast for it's all female lead Ghostbuster's reboot.

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKimmon, and Leslie Jones will strap on the proton packs and fight ghosts in the Paul Feig flick.

This is a strong group of young female comedic actresses with Wiig, McKimmon, and Jones all coming from Saturday Night Live.

This movie will be interesting to say the least.  There are a number of factions with differing opinions on whether this movie should’ve been made at all.  Some don’t believe the movie franchise needed to be rebooted, especially after reports stated that this reboot would not acknowledge the original films.  Others go further saying that purposefully casting all females in the lead roles limits is exclusionary and could miss out on some comedic elements a mixed gender cast could provide.

Honestly, I wasn’t clamoring for a “reboot” for this or any other movie from the ’80s or ’90s, but it’s not my money being spent to make this reboot.  I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and check it out.
