[TV Show News] Marvel TV and Hulu Unveil Casting for ‘Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K’

When the new Marvel TV shows were announced and Patton Oswalt was attached I was so happy. Patton Oswalt is a well known comic book fan.

His improvised filibuster rant from NBC’s Park and Recreation is a thing a beauty. The producers told him to ramble for a bit about whatever subject he wanted…he delivered 8 minutes of a plot of a new Star Wars movie bringing that universe into the Marvel Universe. The following year Oswalt appeared in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent Eric Koenig. Basically, his nerd credentials are double platinum.

The news of Patton being tied to a MODOK show is perfect. With the rest of the cast being announced this show is even more of a must-watch for me.

Quiet as its kept, Ben Schwartz is popping up EVERYWHERE these days. Parks and Recreation (2010-2015), House of Lies (2012-2016), Night Schook (2018), Modern Family (2018-2019), The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part (2019), DuckTales (2017-2019), BoJack Horseman (2015-2019), and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2018-2019).

Jean Ralphio has invaded my life.

Marvel TV and Hulu revealed that Patton Oswalt, Aimee Garcia, Ben Schwartz, Melissa Fumero, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Beck Bennet, Jon Daly and Sam Richardson are joining “Marvel’s MODOK.” The animated series is based on the Marvel comic book of the same name and signals Marvel’s first endeavor into animated comedy geared towards adults. After being ousted from both his evil organization and his family, super villain M.O.D.O.K (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) must reinvent himself if he ever wants the chance to win back the things in his life that are most important. Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K” is slated for debut in 2020.
