This is fantastic news.

The Mission: Impossible movies as of late have been some of my favorite movies to see. Great action, intriguing plot lines, and some of the wildest stunts on screen.

I need Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie to keep making these movies as long as they’re able.

Christopher McQuarrie has been set to return to Paramount’s Mission: Impossible franchise, recently signing a deal to write and direct the next two films. He confirmed the pact today on Twitter.

The news comes after McQuarrie piloted Mission: Impossible – Fallout to the franchise’s top total box office; the pic toplined by Tom Cruise and the sixth in the Par canon grossed $791.1 million worldwide after its July 2018 release.
