I remember when this fan video first came out and I loved it.

At first, it seemed like a very intriguing and dramatic story, but then I started recognizing some of the characters and I was blown away.

It’s so dope that this fan video made its way to Will Smith and not only did he like it, he put the wheels in motion to have this fan interpretation of his hit show made into reality.

Suffice it to say at a time where a lot of old tv shows are being rebooted and remade, Bel-Air looks to be actually good.

Will Smith and Morgan Cooper are teaming to adapt the latter’s dramatic reimagining of the former’s beloved NBC comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Bel-Air is described as a dramatic take on the beloved ’90s comedy that catapulted Smith to stardom over six seasons starring as the street-smart kid who moved from West Philly to the tony Los Angeles neighborhood. With a reimagined vision, Bel-Air will dive deeper into the inherent conflicts, emotions and biases of what it means to be a Black man in America today, while still delivering the swagger and fun nods to the original show.
