Review: by Anthony and Lee

Adam Sandler's recent record has been far from stellar, but, considering how much we liked him and Drew Barrymore together in 50 First Dates, we figured their new romantic comedy, Blended, deserved a chance.

What We Liked:

Terry Crews –

The classic romantic comedy “look at how much we have in common” moments

The comedy when it’s not over the top physical gags or reoccurring jokes – Daughter Larry trying to be feminine when playing basketball and most of Adam Sandler’s ad libs

What We Didn’t Like:

The rest of the acting – Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler, and Wendi McLendon-Covey were all bad. Joel McHale is better than this. Abdoulaye NGom as Mfana

The rest of the comedic moments – the jokes that were funny the first time but stale and dumb the 8th time. We get it all the kids have weird quirks Hilary (Larry) looks like a boy, Espen sees dead people, Lou does a satanic demon voice, Brendan masturbates a lot, and Tyler is a wild child.

Other dumb scenes – riding ATVs and running Grandma off the road, the parasailing scene, Lions w/pig, couples massage scene was cringeworthy

Overall:

Rating: 2 / 5 Stars
