Wreck-It Ralph was a great movie, I think we can all agree on that. Funny but with a touch of emotional tugging. I remember when I saw it I had no expectations but then it ended up being one of my favorite Disney movies. Entertaining for kids and adults alike. That being said I was really excited to see the second installation, and I was not disappointed.

The movie starts off with Ralph and Vanellope, the two main characters from the original movie. They are best friends and hang out every day. Ralph loves the stability and routine while Vanellope seems to be a little restless and bored. Ralph comes to her boredom rescue and attempts to liven up her game a little which leads to unfortunate circumstances, Vanellope’s arcade game breaks O_O. But Ralph comes up with the perfect plan to fix it, the two sneak off to the internet in order to find eBay and replace the broken part.

What I Liked:

The never-ending internet jokes and puns! It was hilarious. Being able to see the internet from virgin eyes. From pop up ads to people handing out hearts to things they like, it was just an amazingly amusing time. I also really liked how other Disney characters were infused with the storyline. Vanellope becoming a real Disney princess… you just wait…. it’s worth it. While I loved the humor Disney did not fail to also make me want to cry… or actually cry but I won’t admit that! Also, they go to the dark web…anything you can think of, they included it.

What I Didn’t Like:

The movie was hilarious. But I feel like they got to a point in the movie where they remembered that they had to do more than just tell jokes. So it kind of felt like a rush to get to the tear-jerking moral of the story section. Also, the way they portrayed Ralph was a little over the top to me, I can’t really explain it without ruining the movie so you’ll just have to see it and tell me what you think.

8/10

Summary

It was a really good movie. I personally liked the first movie better but I think this one is definitely worth seeing. In this internet obsessed era, I feel it is only right to pay tribute to the hilarity of it all. The movie left a good message for children and adults alike, chase your dreams and be a good friend.
